HARRISON, N.J. – Red Bull II signed midfielder Caden Clark to a USL Championship contract pending league and federation approval, the club announced Wednesday.

Clark, 16, most recently played for Barca Residency Academy. The Medina, Minn. native made 58 appearances and recorded 15 goals since he joined the academy in 2017.

“Caden is a young exciting player that we believe has a lot of potential within our system. We are really excited to start working with him and see how far we can push him in his development,” NYRB II head coach John Wolyniec said. “He is a very smart player that has a high level of technical ability. He has a ton of energy and plays both sides of the ball. I think what we like most though is his mentality and how he plays with such courage.”

Clark started off in the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy with Minnesota Thunder Academy in 2015. He made 37 appearances and recorded 9 goals in two seasons.

“We are very excited to have Caden in our group. He is a tremendous young talent and an impressive young man, and we can’t wait to see the energy he brings to the group,” Wolyniec said.

He featured for the United States youth national team starting with the Under-14’s. Most recently he was called in for the U-16’s National Talent Identification Camp in September.
