NEW YORK – MLS commissioner Don Garber announced Tuesday that Toronto FC forward Jozy Altidore has been issued an undisclosed fine for his post-game comments regarding the officiating during Toronto’s 3-1 loss to Seattle Sounders FC in MLS Cup Nov. 10.

These comments are in violation of the league’s public criticism policy, MLS said.

Altidore, who came off the bench late in the second half of the game, tallied Toronto FC’s lone goal.

Garber also announced two other sanctions:

Vancouver Whitecaps FC head coach Marc Dos Santos has been issued an undisclosed fine for his comments regarding the league during an interview published on Nov. 4. His comments also were in violation of the league’s public criticism policy.

San Jose Earthquakes head coach Matias Almeyda has been issued an undisclosed fine for his postgame comments regarding the officiating during his team’s match against Atlanta United Sept. 21. These comments also were in violation of the league’s public criticism policy.
