Luis Robles will do his shot-stopping with Inter Miami.

It didn’t take Luis Robles very long to find a new team.

Released by the Red Bulls Nov. 21, Robles has signed with Inter Miami FC, the 2020 MLS expansion team announced Monday.

Robles had played eight seasons with the Red Bulls.

“Luis has had a storied MLS career and we are excited that it will continue in Miami,” Inter Miami’s sporting director Paul McDonough said. “We look forward to his contributions ahead of our inaugural MLS season.”

Robles has enjoyed a fruitful career, winning the Supporters’ Shield with the Red Bulls in 2013, 2015 and 2018. He also was named MLS goalkeeper of the year in 2015.

The 35-year-old keeper started 238 MLS regular season games for the Red Bulls, keeping 72 clean sheets, the eighth most in league history. During 2018, Robles kept a club-record and career-high 14 shutouts. He holds the record for most consecutive MLS regular season starts, being named to the Red Bulls Starting XI 183 consecutive times from 2012 to 2018. He is also sixth all-time in MLS history with 114 goalkeeper wins.

Robles has represented the U.S. men’s national team, earning three caps. He made his debut for the senior team at the 2009 Concacaf Gold Cup, starting in a game against Haiti. He also appeared in friendlies against Iceland and Jamaica.

The 5-11, 180-lb. Robles became the 16th player signed by Inter Miami.
