With the MetroStars Canada dropping out of the Major Arena Soccer League Saturday, the Rochester Lancers have reworked their schedule — home and away.
The Lancers will add a road game at the Harrisburg Heat Saturday, Dec. 14 and at the Utica City FC Feb. 23. That means the Lancers will play three games within a 43-hour span that weekend as they host Utica City FC Friday, Feb. 21 and Baltimore Blast Saturday, Feb. 22. The Blast took the MetroStars’ place on that Saturday. Both games start at 7 p.m.
Replacing the MetroStars on another game on its home schedule, Rochester will welcome the Harrisburg Heat Dec. 27.
The Lancers were scheduled to kick off their return to the MASL with two games against the MetroStars in St. Catharines, Ontario this week, playing Friday and Sunday.
They will begin the 2019-20 season with back-to-back games at the Dome Arena in Henrietta, N.Y. on Thanksgiving weekend. The Lancers will meet Utica City FC Friday, Nov. 29 and Harrisburg Saturday, Nov. 30.
