U.S. Soccer will introduce the new women’s national team coach at a press conference in New York City at Hotel Eventi in New York City Monday afternoon.

All signs are pointing to Reign FC head coach Vlatko Andonovski to replace Jill Ellis, who directed the USA to back-to-back Women’s World Cup championships (2015 and 2019). The New York Times and The Equalizer website have reported that Andonovski will be named.

Also attending the 4 p.m. press conference will be U.S. Soccer president Carlos Cordeiro and U.S. women’s national team general manager Kate Markgraf.

Under Andonovski’s direction, Reign FC finished fourth in the National Women’s Soccer League before losing to the defending league champions North Carolina Courage in the semifinals in extratime last week, 4-1.
