Match IQ GmbH will partner with Hertha BSC again, it was announced Tuesday morning.

The two organizations combined for Hertha BSC’s “Tear down walls” tour earlier this year and will continue to work together on various international projects, including organizing training camps and friendly matches.

The full-service sports event and consulting agency will support the Bundesliga club to grow its international profile, integrating it into the Match IQ Americas office in the United States.

In addition to Hertha BSC, FC Schalke 04 is a partner of the New York office, founded in July and managed by former Cosmos COO Erik Stover.

In May, Match IQ accompanied Hertha BSC to two matches in the U.S. Hertha BSC played Minnesota United FC in Saint Paul, Minn., followed by a friendly match against Forward Madison FC (USL League One) in Madison, Wis.

Match IQ will take care of the travel planning, organization and practical implementation of the Berliners’ training camps and friendly matches.

“The fact that with Hertha BSC we have now won the second Bundesliga club for our office in New York City shows how important it is for the clubs to expand their brand in North America,” Match IQ founder and CEO Nicholas MacGowan said. “We are delighted to be able to support them in the best possible way. In addition, Hertha is returning to us again in the field of sports and relies on our service and quality in the planning and implementation of training camps and test matches.”

Paul Keuter, a member of the Hertha BSC management board, gave the continuing partnership a thumb’s up.

“Our successful tour of the USA in May showed how much sympathy Hertha BSC receives in the United States,” he said. “We now want to push ahead with our internationalization and have therefore decided to complete our winter preparation in Florida in January. Our partner Match IQ will provide us with the best possible support thanks to its international expertise and its new office in New York.”

In addition to Hertha BSC and FC Schalke 04, Match IQ also advises other national and international top clubs such as Eintracht Frankfurt, VfL Wolfsburg, Ajax Amsterdam and PSV Eindhoven on internationalization and matchday management.

Match IQ GmbH, which has been part of the Constantin Medien Group since August 2018, is a full-service sports event and consulting agency.
