ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two more former Rochester Lancers have returned to the fold as the Major Arena Soccer League club signed midfielder Sean Hantes and forward Peter DiLorenzo for the 2019-20 season.

Hantes is an original indoor Lancers from the 2014-2015 season. DiLorenzo played for the 2018 National Premier Soccer League outdoor side. As per league and team policies, no further terms of the agreement were disclosed.

“We have been trying to get Peter and Sean back with our indoor team since before last season,” Lancers owner Salvatore “SoccerSam” Fantauzzo said. “Both players are great people on and off the field and will help the growth of our organization.

Born and raised in Rochester, the 31-year-old Hantes graduated from Gates-Chili High School and was a Section 5 and state champion his junior year. Hantes recorded 13 goals and 12 assists. He attended the University of Rochester, registering 14 goals and four assists as he was a three-time UAA Conference champion. Hantes joined the MASL Lancers in 2014-2015, scoring once in six games. He is a financial advisor.

DiLorenzo, 25, attended Hicksville H.S. on Long Island. He was a state champion in 2011 as he played against current teammate Anthony Rozzano. He also was also named the state MVP and an All-Nassau County player. DiLorenzo attended The College at Brockport, where he was an All-American, a three-time first team all conference and a three-time ECAC award winner. He scored the second most goals (42) in Brockport men’s history.

He joined the NPSL team in 2018 and had one goal and one assist. DiLorenzo is a fulltime trainer at Burn Bootcamp in Webster, N.Y. He will be getting married at the end of the month to his fiance Lelaina.
