PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Hofstra University and Drexel University men exchanged second-half goals, settling for a 1-1 Colonial Athletic Association draw at Vidas Field Saturday night.

Hofstra, which snapped a two-game losing streak, moved to 5-6-1 overall and 2-2-1 in CAA play. Drexel is 4-5-2 overall and 2-2-1 in league.

The teams played a scoreless first half that saw Drexel hold a 6-3 lead in shots and a 3-0 advantage in shots on goal. Hofstra goalkeeper Alex Ashton was up to the task, making three of his seven saves in the opening 45 minutes.

The Dragons opened the scoring at 75:14, drawing a penalty kick after a handball in the box by a Hofstra defender. Rodrigues de Palma converted the kick for his second goal of the season.

Hofstra answered 3:20 later with a set-piece goal. Oscar Ramsay drove a corner kick into the box, which was headed by Frederik Rieper to George O’Malley. The senior captain back heeled it past Cameron Sanders for his second goal this season.

Cameron finished with two saves for Drexel.

Hofstra welcomes Seton Hall University at Hofstra Soccer Stadium Wednesday at 7 p.m.
