LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – Sarina Jones set up Lexie Palladino’s game-winning extratime goal for the Monmouth University women in a 1-0 win over Siena College at Siena Field Wednesday afternoon.

The Hawks (7-2-2, 5-0-0) finally broke through 45 seconds into the second extratime to remain perfect in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play and unbeaten on the road.

Palladino scored her fifth goal this season, her 16th career goal and fifth game-winner.

Goalkeeper Amanda Knaub became Monmouth’s all-time leader in career shutouts with 37.

The visitors are unbeaten in their last eight games (7-0-1), including six successive wins.

The Hawks have won seven straight road games against MAAC opponents.

“We have been on the road for so many matches this season,” head coach Krissy Turner said. “I credit our team for their resiliency and approach to each match. It feels great to get the result as it was well deserved.”

Monmouth controlled the possession through the first half and did not surrender a shot to Siena (4-7-3, 2-2-1) while taking eight on the other end, including three on goal.

The Hawks return home on for a matchup with Canisius College at Hesse Field on The Great Lawn Saturday at 7 p.m.
