Man, life is tough at the top of some United Soccer Coaches polls.

Take, for example, what transpired with the Adelphi University men’s team.

Last week the undefeated Panthers (8-0-1) recorded a dramatic 1-1 Northeast-10 Conference draw at Southern Connecticut State University, scoring the equalizer with 24 seconds remaining in regulation.

Adelphi, however, was demoted from first to fourth place in the latest NCAA Division II men’s poll, which was released Tuesday afternoon.

Azusa Pacific University (9-0-0) took over the top spot, followed by Maryville University of St. Louis (10-0-0) and California State University-Los Angeles (7-0-0).
