CHICAGO – The St. John’s University women dropped their second Big East decision Sunday afternoon, falling to DePaul University, 2-0, at Wish Field.

DePaul’s leading scorer Morgan Turner and freshman Bina Saipi scored for the Blue Demons (5-5-2, 2-1-0).

Goalkeeper Meredith Reinhardt made eight saves for the Red Storm (4-8-0, 1-2-0), six of the opening half.

DePaul controlled possession in the early going, firing off the first six shots, including a goal by Turner in the 35th minute. The hosts continued to control the momentum, not allowing a shot as the Blue Demons entered the break with a 1-0 lead.

In the 64th minute, the Blue Demons added an insurance tally, as Saipi netted her first career goal for DePaul.

The Red Storm welcomes Marquette University to Belson Stadium for a conference match Thursday at 7 p.m.
