MONTCLAIR, N.J. — Red Bull II could not hold the lead at home, surrendering the tying goal deep into second-half stoppage time to settle for a 1-1 draw with the Charleston Battery in USL Championship action at MSU Soccer Park Friday night.

The hosts improved moved to 17-8-6 and 57 points while Charleston now is at 9-9-12 with 39 points.

Mathias Jorgensen opened the scoring in the 51st minute with his 10th goal this season. Omir Fernandez recorded his first point of the season with an an assist.

Charleston equalized six minutes into added time on an Arthur Paterson goal that was assisted by Vincenzo Candela.

Red Bull II’s Omar Sowe made his MSU Soccer Park debut.

NYRBII closes out the regular season with three consecutive road contests, when it faces North Carolina FC in Raleigh, N.C. Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.
