LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Napo Matoso scored twice within two minutes in the first half to pace Louisville City FC to a 5-3 triumph over Red Bull II in a USL Championship match at Slugger Field Saturday night.

NYRBII (17-8-5, 56 points) suffered its second straight loss to Louisville City.

Midfielder Vincent Bezecourt opened up the scoring in the 20th minute, but it was virtually all Louisville after that.

Oscar Jiminez equalized for Louisville four minutes later brgotr Matoso tallied in the 31st and 33rd minutes to give the hosts a 3-1 advantage.

Red Bull II’s Jared Stroud earned a penalty kick and slotted it home bringing the game within one for his 14th goal of the season in the 38th minute.

Two minutes into first-half stoppage time, Antoine Hoppenot restored Louisville’s two-goal margin before Niall McCabe made it 5-2 in the 59th minute.

Forward Omar Sowe scored his first professional goal for the visitors in the 71th minute.

Red Bull II returns home to face the Charleston Battery Friday at 7:30 p.m.
