QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John’s University athletic department Monday announced that it will offer free admission to a pair of soccer games this week to anyone who makes a contribution to Hurricane Dorian relief efforts in the Bahamas.

Fans who bring new or gently used clothing items or shoes to the St. John’s ticket office at any time will receive complimentary tickets to Tuesday’s men’s game against Iona College and Thursday’s women’s contest against Syracuse University.

The men’s team, which is 3-0 this season by way of shutout and is ranked No. 22 in the nation by Soccer America, will look to secure its first 4-0-0 start since 2001 when it hosts Iona for the renewal of a local rivalry Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m.

Ian Stone’s women’s soccer squad will host former Big East rival Syracuse at Belson Stadium Thursday at 7 p.m. The two squads look to break a deadlock in the series history; the Johnnies and the Orange have traded wins in six consecutive game dating back to 2009.
