The Cosmos announced Saturday that Lithology Brewing Co. has become the official beer of the team ahead of the club’s first Members Cup home game.

Starting with Saturday’s 7 p.m. match-up against Milwaukee Torrent at Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale, N.Y., Lithology’s products will be available for purchase at the concession stands.

Lithology also will be the home of the club’s Long Island-based viewing parties for away games during the side’s run in the Members Cup.

“This is an exciting partnership for the club and our fan base,” Cosmos senior vice president Joe Barone said. “We have a roster that features many local players, and it’s fantastic that we’ve been now been able to partner with a local brewing company, which will provide an even better game-day experience for both home and away games.”

Lithology Brewing is located on Main Street in Farmingdale, N.Y., which serves beers on a rotating basis at its tap room. The brewery also has made a commitment to using locally grown products in its beer, highlighted by its Loyal To The Soil IPA.

“We here at Lithology are very excited to be a partner with a local team, like the New York Cosmos, that plays right here on Long Island and is as equally committed to supporting growth of Long Island products and businesses like ourselves,” Lithology Brewing Co. executive vice president and co-brewer, Manny Coelho said.
