MONTCLAIR, N.J. — Sebastian Elney scored on either side of halftime to power Red Bull II to a 2-0 victory over Saint Louis FC in a USL Championship game at MSU Soccer Park Friday night.

The win lifted NYRBII to 13-4-5 and 44 points while Saint Louis (24 points) dropped to 6-7-6. This was the fourth consecutive season that Red Bull II registered double digits in wins.

Elney, who has three goals this season, opened the scoring in the 34th minute before a crowd of 756. Jared Stroud earned his team-leading assist.

After a red card to Saint Louis FC’s Oscar Umar in the 88th minute, NYRB II doubled its lead as Elney poked home a rebound off a free kick.

Goalkeeper Evan Louro made two saves for his fourth shutout of the season and 10th of his career.

The team will be back in action at Hartford Athletic next Saturday. The next home game at MSU Soccer Park is Wednesday, April 14 against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
