The Hurricanes took advantage of the extra minute in the 45th minute as Ethan Homler put home a left-wing cross to slice the lead in half. The hosts equalized in the 79th minute as Ryan Carfora scored from a difficult angle on the left side of the penalty area.

In the shootout, Dix Hills found itself trailing after the first round, but bounced back. Goalkeeper Marc DePasquale saved Paul Hayes’ attempt on Port Jefferson’s sixth and final try before Ryan Stevens converted the game-winner minutes later.

In the second game that was filled with many yellow and red cards, Rosedale tallied twice in the second half en route to its 2-0 win. Andre McFarlane scored off a throw-in 70th minute before Akeem Shelton added an insurance goal three minutes into stoppage time.
