ORLANDO — Brian White scored a first-half goal to lift the Red Bulls to a 1-0 win over Orlando City SC at Exploria Stadium Sunday night.

The Red Bulls finished a stretch of three matches in eight days while accruing six out of a possible nine points.

New York (10-8-4, 34 points) moved into fourth place in the Eastern Conference, five points behind the first-place Philadelphia Union.

White’s scored in the 32nd minute. The scoring sequence started with defender Amro Tarek forcing a turnover and finding Kaku, who curled a ball behind the Orlando defense and into the path of White. The goal was White’s team-leading seventh of the season.

Kaku has four assists this season.

Red Bulls captain and goalkeeper Luis Robles made four saves for his fifth shutout of the season, and 68th of his Major League Soccer career.
