MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Ex-Red Bull II forward Brandon Allen exacted a measure of revenge on his former team, striking twice in the second half to boost Memphis 9-1 FC to a 2-2 draw Saturday night.

Allen tallied the equalizer in the 87th minute off a Wesley Charpie feed in the USL Championship game after he became the comeback off a Lagos Kunga assist in the 48th minute AutoZone Park.

Red Bull II moved to 11-4-5 and 38 points.

Defender Jordan Scarlett opened the scoring in the 10th minute, heading home from close-range for his first goal of the season and first of his career. Chris Lema, who played in the cross, earned an assist.

Vincent Bezecourt added a second goal in the 44th minute, cleaning up a loose ball in front of goal after Jared Stroud’s attempt to finish a Kyle Duncan cross rang off the post. It was Bezecourt’s first of the season in his fifth USL appearance.

NYRB II will host Tampa Bay in a showdown of the Eastern Conference’s top two teams at MSU Soccer Park in Montclair, N.J. Friday at 7 p.m.
