The Rochester Lancers will get another opportunity to reach the semifinals of the Midwest Region — at a neutral location.

The Lancers and AFC Ann Arbor will resume their interrupted National Premier Soccer League quarterfinal playoff match from Wednesday night at McConnell Family Stadium at Gannon University in Erie, Pa at 8:30 p.m.

The game was stopped in the 69th minute with a scoreless draw. The contest, which could not continue because there were no lights at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Mich., had been delayed twice due to lightning.

At first, the Lancers said they had forfeited the match late Tuesday night.

Then AFC Ann Arbor announced early Wednesday morning that a coin toss would determine which team would advance.

Finally, the league announced the match would be resumed.

Any rostered player from each club may participate in the match. If the match remains tied at the end of regular time, two abbreviated 10-minute extra time periods will take place, followed by penalty kicks if necessary.

The winner will advance to the Midwest semifinals against Cleveland SC at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck, Mich. Friday at 4:30 p.m.
