Denise Reddy has been axed as head coach of Sky Blue FC 1 1/2 years into her tenure.

During her time with the National Women’s Soccer League club, Sky Blue FC was a 1-24-8 under Reddy.

Winless Sky Blue FC (2 points) sits in last place in the nine-team league with a 0-7-2 record, three points behind the Orlando Pride (1-7-2, 5). The New Jersey club finished 1-17-6 last year, with its lone win coming on the final day of the season against the Pride.

Sky BLue FC has become a search for a new head coach. It’s next game isn’t until July 6, when it plays the Chicago Red Stars away.

After spending two years as an assistant coach with the Washington Spirit, Reddy joined the team prior to the 2018 season.

This season, Sky Blue has improved in its performance, losing closely played matches by one goal. Still, they were counted as defeats.

The team’s last loss was a 2-1 home setback to Orlando June 22.
