MONTCLAIR, N.J. — Kyle Zajec scored his first two goals of the season during a five-minute span in the opening half to power Red Bull II to a 4-0 victory over Bethlehem Steel FC in USL Championship action at MSU Soccer Park Friday night.

The result snapped a three-game winless streak for New York (7-3-2, 23 points) before a crowd of 869.

Zajec tallied in the 26th and 31st minute to power the hosts to a two-goal advantage. Jake Stroud and Marcus Epps assisted on the first goal.

Mathias Jørgensen converted a penalty kick, his first goal of the season, in the 65th minute to up the lead to 3-0 before a Walter Crotes own in the 76th minute closed out the scoring.

Goalkeeper Evan Louro recorded his first clean sheet of the season while Red Bull II registered its third shutout.

NYRB II defender Chris Tiao made his professional debut.

Red Bull II will travel to face Atlanta United 2 June 7 at 7:30 p.m.
