NEW YORK – New York City FC Wednesday traded forward Jonathan Lewis to the Colorado Rapids in exchange for $650,000 Targeted Allocation Money and up to an additional $100,000 TAM based on performance criteria.
The team will also receive an international spot in 2020.
The transaction was completed before the close of the Primary Transfer Window Tuesday, May 7 at noon ET.
The additional international spot will give the City nine beginning January 1, 2020.
Lewis appeared six times for NYCFC, recording one assist. Since being drafted in 2017, Lewis played in 31 games, scoring three goals and recording five assists.
He earned a U.S. national team call-up in January and has made four appearances for his country.
