Even before the first ball is kicked, the Rochester Lancers have been ensured of back-to-back sellouts for their return to indoor soccer.

That’s right. The Lancers’ opening weekend of home games this Friday and Saturday are sold out. Rochester hosts the Detroit Waza Flo and Cincinnati Swerve Friday and Saturday nights, respectively, at the Dome Arena in Henrietta, N.Y. Both Major Arena Soccer League games kick off at 7 p.m.

At the present time, the Dome Arena’s capacity for indoor soccer is around 2,500.

The M2 club still has 20 season tickets available not only for indoors but for the team’s outdoor teams — the Lancers men and Lady Lancers when they commence play in the National Premier Soccer League and United Women’s Soccer at Charlie Schiano Field at Aquinas Stadium in May. Season tickets at $99 will include all three teams and free parking for 20 matches. If interested, contact Kayla Klark Kent. [email protected].

There may not be any more room at the inn, but there is plenty of space available at the Goal Kick Lounge as the team’s post-game party will he held there at the Dome. Former Lancers defender Don Lalka opened the original Goal Kick Lounge in Rochester in the seventies after he retired. The soccer team called it a tribute to the Lancers Wall of Fame member. A postgame party and autograph session will be held at the lounge (sponsored by Chef’s Catering & Untamed Events with Rebecca Dodge).

Each game will have a different vibe.

On Friday, Austin Giorgio, one of the standout performances on The Voice, will perform the national anthem and sing at halftime. FrontRowSoccer.com editor Michael Lewis, a member of the Lancers Wall of Fame, will be honorary captain. Former Lancers stars Mauricio Salles and Joey Tavernese, who perform for Utica City FC (MASL) are celebrity captains. Fans will be hearing the voice of Megan Carter of IHeartRadio, Rochester soccer’s first female PA announcer. And Jeff DiVeronica, Rocky Perrotta and Kyle Manscuk return to the Lancers family.

On Saturday, the team will hold a live jersey auction post-game, which will benefit The Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester. Fans can bid on pink jerseys to help raise money and take home a game-worn jersey from their favorite players. Members of the Breast Cancer Coalition will be honorary captains. Former Lancer Dancer Brenna Spencer will perform the national anthem. Dave DiPasquale will return to the Lancers for this encounter.

The Lancers like to say any of their matches are a party and not a game. And part of the party includes the Lancer Dancers, DJ Key-YO, Lancer Louie, T-shirt tosses, Bounce House, among other entertainment. Fans will have the opportunity to print their selfies onto a T-shirt.

And at all games this season, the club will hold an IDE ball toss halftime contest at all games, with proceeds to benefit Camp Good Days & Special Times. A special prize will go to the game-winner. The grand prize winner will be entered into an end of season contest to win a trip for four to Jamaica, including airfare, brought to you by Indulge Yourself Travel. Purchase halftime balls at the Lancers team store on game day.

The team reminds groups and their sponsors to redeem their vouchers soon. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for available voucher redemption, gates open at 6 p.m. for the game at the IDE Family Field at the Dome (2695 East Henrietta Road, Henrietta, N.Y.).
