EAST ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The old band is getting back together for the Rochester Lancers.

And that includes the team on the field, the coaching staff and the front office staff.

As expected, the Major Arena Soccer League team Tuesday announced it will play at the Dome Arena in suburban Henrietta, starting with the home opener Friday, Jan. 4.

The team also announced that Doug Miller, who directed the indoor Lancers last during the 2014-15 season, will return as head coach and be president of soccer operations as well. Miller also has directed the Lancers in the National Premier Soccer League the past two years.

Mark Mandel will return as general manager as will Adam Schwartz, Rey “BoomBoom” Martinez and John Berardicurti as assistant coaches.

The club’s game day staff also will be back, including Lancers TV host Joe Giuliano, Kari Miller, coach of the Lancer Dancers and its mascot, Lancer Louie.

Nine players who performed for the club in previous indoor seasons return: Jake Schindler, Gary Boughton, Jeremy Ortiz, Stephen Basso, Marcelo Moreira, Marc Sotile, Brad Vanino, Luis Enrique Hidalgo and Elliot Fauske, nicknamed the Mohican Warrior.

Eight players from the NPSL squad also have signed: Will Banahene, Peter DiLorenzo, Anthony Rozzano, August Finn, Austin Gerber, Wyatt Scott, David Wright and Isaac Kissi.

The announcements were made at IDE Volkswagen, which was named one of the club’s title sponsors.

Title sponsors this season will include: The Ide Family of Dealerships, Salvatore’s Pizzeria, Palmer Foods, iHeartRadio, Sahlens, Camp Good Days & Special Times, and RIT Inn & Conference Center. More sponsors will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

The Lancers also announced they will be hosting a Family of 4 Vacation Giveaway this season, including airfare, to Jamaica! Season ticket holders will also receive an entry into the giveaway brought to you by Indulge Yourself Travel and the Ide Family of Dealerships.
