BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College women earned three accolades as midfielder Daisy Gomez won her second consecutive City University of New York Athletic Conference player of the year award, while defender Micaela Canapa and midfielder Melanie Siranaula also claimed all-star team honors.

Gomez, who played four seasons with the Lightning, saw action in all 14 matches while she was second in goals scored this year with eight. The Port Chester, N.Y. native led Lehman in assists (four) and game-winners (three) this season. Gomez also earned CUNYAC player of the week honors on Oct/ 8.

Siranaula, named to CUNYAC all-star team for the first time, also played in all 14 games and led the squad in scoring with nine goals. The sophomore native of Yonkers, N.Y. also dished out two assists that resulted in game-winners.

In her first collegiate season, Canapa was selected to CUNYAC all-stars after playing in all 14 games, while leading the Lightning field players in minutes (1292). The freshman from New Rochelle, N.Y. added two goals and an assist.
