HAMDEN, Conn. – The Monmouth University men ended a miserable season with a 6-0 defeat to Quinnipiac University in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Wednesday.

Rashawn Dally scored twice in the first half and before the Bobcats (10-5-2, 8-1-1) struck four more times in the second half.

The Hawks failed to win a MAAC game (0-1-0), while recording an overall 2-14-1 mark.

“It was a difficult match against a very good Quinnipiac team. We started a very young group of players and they worked hard for 90 minutes,” Monmouth head coach Robert McCourt said. “Hopefully, the playing time they have received this season can serve as a platform for future success for them. I also need to thank my seniors that have represented our program so well. It’s not the way they wanted things to end, but they’ll look back on their experiences here at Monmouth as an amazing period in their lives.”

Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Sean Murray made six saves. Included in Monmouth’s starting lineup was six freshmen and two sophomores.
