FORT-DE-FRANCE, Martinique — Red Bulls midfielder-forward Derrick Etienne, Jr. assisted on Haiti’s first goal in its 2-1 win over Saint Lucia in a concacaf Nations Cup match at Stade Pierre Aliker Wednesday night.
Etienne ran into space on the left flank and crossed the ball to Soni Mustivar, who beat goalkeeper Vino Barclett from 10 yards to give Haiti a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute.
Herold Charles doubled the advantage in the 33rd minute before Pernal Williams pulled one back for Saint Lucia in the 43rd minute.
Etienne, who played the entire match, was awarded a yellow card for delaying the start of play in the 55th minute.
