BROOKLINE, Mass. – The Hofstra University men saw their eight-game unbeaten streak snapped as they dropped a 3-0 decision at Northeastern University in a Colonial Athletic Association match at Parsons Field Wednesday night.

The Pride, which was 6-0-2 during the streak, fell to 6-4-3 over and 3-1-1 in the CAA,

Moustapha Samb scored on a penalty kick at 22:20 mark to give Northeastern up (4-5-1, 2-1-1) lead. The goal was the first allowed by the Pride during the unbeaten streak, spanning 784:33.

Northeastern tallied twice in the second half five minutes apart. Martin Nygaard put in a free kick from 25 yards at 54:27 and Harry Swartz converted a pass from Ryan Massoud at 59:10.

Hofstra attempted 18 shots but could not solve Northeastern keeper Chandler Cree, who had eight saves.

Hofstra keeper Alex Ashton made two saves.

The Pride hosts CAA-leaders James Madison University Saturday at 7 p.m.
