Well, there is a silver lining to New York City FC having three weeks off.

The six players called into their respective national teams won’t miss any Major League Soccer action.

City doesn’t have a game until Sunday, Oct. 21.

Defenders Ben Sweat (United States), Maxime Chanot (Luxembourg), Ronald Matarrita (Costa Rica), Alex Callens (Peru) and forwards Ismael Tajouri-Shradi (Libya) and Jesus Medina (Paraguay) received call-ups for games through Oct. 16.

Chanot looks to continue a strong run with Luxembourg in the UEFA Nations League, while Tajouri-Shradi returns to Africa Cup of Nations Qualification with Libya.

Callens made his return to the Peruvian national team, where he could face off against Sweat on the U.S. national side.

Matarrita returned to Costa Rica camp for the first time since World Cup preparations, where he picked up an injury and was unable to participate.

Medina will be homeward bound for a national team training camp in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay.
