QUEENS, N.Y. – Playing without the services of two starters, the St. John’s University men’s lost to Princeton University in extratime, 1-0, in a non-league game at Belson Stadium Tuesday night.

Cole Morokhovich recorded the lone goal in the 92nd minute with Gaby Paniagua and Michael Osei Wusu picking up assists.

Osei Wusu began the sequence with a throw-in on the far side that was headed along by Paniagua to Morokhvich in the box. The junior chipped a shot toward the bottom right corner of the cage and past the outstretched hands of goalkeeper Tyron Matuta.

Matuta, a sophomore, made a season-high six saves.

Princeton (6-4-1) outshot the Red Storm (6-5-1), 19-5, and recorded 13 corner kicks to the Johnnies’ two. The Tigers are 6-2-1 in their last nine decisions.

The Red Storm’s Matt Forster and Brandon Duarte were suspended after receiving red cards in Saturday’s loss to Creighton.
