The National Premier Soccer League announced Monday that Minneapolis, Minn. was been selected as the host city for the 2018 NPSL Annual Owners Meeting (AOM).

The meeting will be held during the weekend of Dec. 7-9.

“We are thrilled to bring the 2018 NPSL AOM to the great city of Minneapolis,” NPSL managing director Cindy Spera said. “The AOM is a tremendous opportunity for our teams and staff to work together to make the 2019 NPSL season the best one yet.”

The event will be held at the W Minneapolis – The Foshay in downtown Minneapolis. The hosting proposal for Minneapolis was submitted by Minneapolis City SC managing director Dan Hoedeman.

“It’s exciting the host the NPSL AOM in the City of Lakes,” Hoedeman said. “The team here at Minneapolis City SC worked hard to put together a winning bid and we will work just as hard to welcome the other clubs to The North–especially since the meeting is in December. In all seriousness, it is going to be really fun. And productive.”

Minneapolis City SC is part of the NPSL’s North Conference that includes Dakota Fusion FC, Duluth FC, LC Aris FC, Med City FC, Minnesota TwinStars FC, Sioux Falls Thunder FC and VSLT FC.

“We thank Dan Hoedeman for working hard on making it happen in the NPSL and we are excited to showcase the city of Minneapolis,” NPSL board of directors member Youssef Darbaki said.
