DURHAM, N.H. — The Stony Brook University women fell at the University of New Hampshire, 1-0, in an America East game at Wildcat Stadium Sunday afternoon.

Junior Liz Lane scored her third consecutive game-winning goal in the 54th minute for the Wildcats (6-5-2, 2-1-1) against the Seawolves (8-6-1, 3-1-1). Lane’s goal was her third of the season, assisted by junior Kaylan Williams.

“Unfortunately today was not a good performance for our group, but a lot of that has to do with the way New Hampshire played,” said head coach Brendan Faherty. “They made it difficult for us and they thoroughly deserved all three points.

“The staff and players will take time over the next 24 hours to reflect on areas we need to grow in so that we can play at a higher level at UMBC on Thursday.”

Stony Brook travels to Baltimore to take on UMBC Thursday at 7 p.m.
