U.S. men’s national team midfielder Weston McKennie has been forced to withdraw from the upcoming Kickoff Series matches against Colombia and Peru due to injury, the U.S. Soccer Federation announced Sunday.

After a week in which McKennie scored his first goals in both the UEFA Champions League and Bundesliga, the USMNT midfielder has been diagnosed with a right adductor injury.

Toronto FC midfielder Marky Delgado has been added to the roster, keeping the squad at 23 players prior to friendlies against Colombia and Peru. Having made his debut on March 27 against Paraguay, Delgado last appeared in the USMNT’s 1-0 win over Mexico Sept. 11.

More than 27,000 tickets have been sold for Oct. 11 friendly between the U.S. and 14th-ranked Colombia at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. (FS1, UniMas and UDN will broadcast the match beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The final home match of the Kickoff Series pits the USMNT against 21st-ranked Peru at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn. Oct. 16 (ESPN2, UniMas and UDN will broadcast live beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET.)
