NEWARK, Del. – Oscar Ramsay scored in the 14th minute as the Hofstra University men picked up a 1-0 Colonial Athletic Association victory over Delaware at Grant Stadium Saturday night.

The win was Hofstra’s third in a row and extended the Pride’s (6-3-3, 3-0-1) undefeated streak to eight games (6-0-2). It was also Hofstra’s eighth consecutive shutout, which is the longest active streak in NCAA Division I. Delaware fell to 3-8 and 2-2.

Ramsay scored his second goal of the season as he deflected a shot from Hendrik Hebbeker past goalkeeper Todd Morton. Morton made three saves.

Both of Ramsay’s goals have been game-winners.

Hofstra keeper Alex Ashton did not record a save as the Blue Hens failed to place a shot on goal.

The Pride will back in action at Northeastern University Wednesday at 6 p.m.
