BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College women extended their home unbeaten streak to nine regular-season games after posting a 1-0 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Campus in a non-conference encounter at South Field Monday night.
Despite being outshot 20-8 (6-4 on goal), it was Lehman (5-2-1) that tallied the lone goal as senior forward Daisy Gomez scored her fifth of the season, off a free kick by sophomore midfielder Melanie Siranaula that beat FDU goalkeeper Ashley Paulino.
Lightning sophomore goalkeeper Rebecca Gritz made six clutch saves against the Devils (7-3-1) to earn her fourth shutout of the season.
