Bledi Bardic continued his assault on goalkeepers and defenders Sunday.

The Cosmos B striker struck four times in Cedar Stars Academy’s 7-1 win over Doxa in Cosmopolitan Soccer League First Division action at Joseph F. Fosina Field in New Rochelle, N.Y. Sunday night.

Chris Katona added two goals to retain the league scoring lead with seven.

“Another great game by all the lads,” CSA head coach Austin Friel wrote on Twitter. “Now onto a big one Tuesday night.”

Bardic’s latest onslaught gave him nine goals in four appearances for CSA, including seven in the CSL. He accrued 12 goals in 11 games for Cosmos B during the past National Premier Soccer League season.

CSA, which captured the Rapaglia Cup two weeks ago, improved to 3-0-0 in the league, having outscored its foes, 18-2. The team is tied with the N.Y. Pancyprian Freedoms for the First Division point lead with nine apiece.

The forward and his teammates won’t have time to savor their latest triumph as they will take on perennial CSL powerhouse Lansdowne Bhoys in a highly anticipated match at Tibbet Brook Park Field 3 Tuesday at 9 p.m.

That game will be Friel’s first game against the team he guided to four CSL championships in five years.

Cedar Stars defeated Lansdowne in a group stage match of the Rapaglia Cup last month, 4-1, as Bardic recorded a brace.

Lansdowne has stumbled to a 0-2-0 start.
