BRONX, N.Y. – Freshman forward Mubarack Ouro scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Lehman College men to a 3-2 City University of New York Athletic Conference victory over Brooklyn College at South Field Saturday afternoon.

The Lightning improve to 5-5 overall record and 3-1 in CUNYAC, while the Bulldogs drop to 2-10 and 2-1 in conference play.

After Brooklyn (2-10, 2-1) took the lead on a tally from forward Carlos Calzadilla in the eighth minute, Ouro tied it 10 minutes later with an empty-netter off an assist from sophomore midfielder Eduardo Victorio.

Victorio gave the Lightning (5-5, 3-1) a 2-1 advantage with a 20-yard rocket off a free kick pass from Ouro that beat goalkeeper Balint Barabas.

Ouro scored his second goal in 50th minute off a one-touch volley from the top of the 18-yard box.

The Bulldogs forward Julian Calame-Mars made it 3-2 with a goal in 59th minute.

Lehman junior goalkeeper Chris Mulholland posted six saves for his fifth victory of the season.

The Lightning continue CUNYAC as they travel to take on Hunter College at Randall’s Island Wednesday at 3 p.m.
