Rider (5-2-1, 1-0-0) scored the lone goal on a corner opportunity in the 11th minute when Niamh Cashin’s header found the back of the goal. The service was sent into the far post and redirected back to Cashin by Meghan McCabe for the decisive header.

The Hawks (5-3-1, 0-1-0) finished the match with a 17-8 advantage in shots and an 8-2 corner kick margin.

“Tonight’s game was a typical conference matchup,” Monmouth head coach Krissy Tuner said. “We created some chances, but Rider finished and we were unable to convert.”
