NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The Lehman College men got back on the winning track on Saturday by defeating Bard College, 1-0, in extratime, at SUNY New Paltz’s South Turf Field.

The victory improved the Lightning’s record to 2-1, while Raptors fell to 2-2.

After a scoreless 90 minutes of regulation and Lehman outshooting Bard, 14-6 (12-5 on goal), the game went into extratime. The match was decided three minutes in when junior forward Maissa Dieye headed home the game-winner, off a corner kick from freshman midfielder Jason Tinoco.

Lehman junior goalkeeper Chris Mulholland had five saves for Lehman to earn his second clean sheet this season.

The Lightning will take on New Paltz of State University of New York Athletic Conference tomorrow Sunday at 3 p.m. The Hawks are 3-1 after dropping a 2-1 decision to New York University Saturday.
