HARRISON, N.J. – Red Bull II and defender Wahab Ackwei have mutually agreed to terminate the defender’s contract, the club announced Monday.
Ackwei, a native of Accra, Ghana, signed with NYRB II Feb. after joining the United Soccer League club on a free transfer from Inter Allies FC in the Ghana Premier League.
Ackwei played in seven games for NYRB II, starting five of them, while recording 452 minutes total. He had one assist.
