PHILADELPHIA – After coming back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game, the Monmouth University men fell in extratime at the University of Pennsylvania, 3-2, Friday night.

The Hawks dropped to 0-3.

The Quakers scored just over a minute into the match, and went ahead 2-0 after another tally in the 17th minute.

Just over 10 minutes later, Monmouth freshman Ramon Bernad scored his first career goal on a header. After the teams went scoreless for the next 35:40, junior Michael Luke tied it following a Monmouth corner kick.

Nine minutes into extratime, Penn scored on a header off a free kick.

The Hawks host Binghamton University Tuesday at 7 p.m.
