EDISON, N.J. – Monmouth University junior goalkeeper Amanda Knaub (Enola, Pa.) has been voted the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference women’s soccer defensive player of the week, it was announced Monday.

The award is the fourth of Knaub’s career and her first of the fall season.

Knaub earned the honor after posting a 0.34 goals-against average in Monmouth’s three matches this past week. She totaled nine saves and allowed one goal, with a shutout against Bucknell University. The Hawks went 2-1-0 with two victories over the Bison and on the road at Delaware. Monmouth fell in double overtime at No. 20 NC State despite Knaub’s five-save effort.
