QUEENS, N.Y. – With the start of the regular season less than two weeks away, the St. John’s women will begin their preseason schedule at Belson Stadium when they take on Wagner College Monday at 7 p.m.

The two programs have squared off six times over the regular season, with the Johnnies winning all of the games.

The Johnnies will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. where they will take on Lehigh University Thursday at 7 p.m. to conclude exhibition play.

The Red Storm returns plenty of talent from its 2017 squad including two All-Big East selections in Christina Bellero and Maia Cabrera. Bellero was named to the second Team after leading St. John’s in scoring with seven goals to rank fifth in the conference. Cabrera had a breakout rookie season, finishing third on the team with 23 shots to earn a spot on the All-Freshman Team.

The Johnnies will kick off the regular season with a trip to the Volunteer State to take on Southeast Conference foe Tennessee. The Volunteers are coming off of a successful season in which they advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division I Tournament before falling to Washington State in a penalty shootout.
