MONTCLAIR, N.J. — Andrew Tinari and Tom Barlow scored in the opening half to lift Red Bull II to a 2-1 United Soccer League victory over Penn FC at MSU Park Friday night.

NYRB II (9-6-8, 35 points), which has a four-game home winning streak, started a three-game homestand. Penn FC (26) fell to 6-7-8. This was the team’s first victory over Penn FC/Harrisburg since 2016.

Tinari opened up the scoring with a goal in the 19th minute, assisted by Jared Stroud. It was Stroud’s team-leading seven assists. He is tied for fourth in the league.

Barlow followed with a second NYRB II goal in the 25th minute with an assist from Jose Aguinaga.

Penn FC got on the scoreboard with a goal from former Cosmos forward Lucky Mksona in the 57th minute.
Red Bulls II have won their past four home games.

NYRB II will return to MSU Soccer Park to take on Louisville City FC Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
