Des Moines Menace’s Ryosuke Kinoshita was named the MVP of the Premier Development League Thursday.
Kinoshita recorded 17 goals and three assists in 14 games over 1,211 minutes this past season.
The PDL season awarded were announced prior to the PDL final between Reading United AC and Calgary Foothills FC.
SC United Banthams forward Marek Weber was honored as the Golden Boot winner, collecting 18 goals (and one assists) in 14 matches over 1,091 minutes.
Reading United AC’s Alan McCann was named PDL coach of the year.
Among the selection are seven players from the most recent edition of the 2018 PDL Top Prospects list. Also included are two players from Calgary Foothills FC – goalkeeper Marco Carducci and forward and No. 50 prospect Moses Danto – and one from Reading United AC – midfielder and No. 1 prospect Aaron Molloy – who will compete against one another in the final at Gurski Stadium in Reading, Pennsylvania, kicking off at 7 p.m. ET (WATCH: USLPDL.com)
The MVP, coach of the year, defensive player of the Year and All-League Team were selected by members from PDL teams.
The Golden Boot was awarded to the individual with the most goals during the regular season, the assist champion was awarded to the player with the most assists and the Golden Glove was awarded to the player with the best PDL goalkeeper rating (save percentage/goals-against average, min. 10 appearances).
The PDL young player of the year was awarded to the individual receiving the most votes under the age of 21.
