HARRISON, N.J. – Red Bulls midfielder Tyler Adams will wear his third uniform of the season this week.

The 19-year-old was named to the MLS All-Star Game, the league announced Monday.

Adams joins teammates Bradley Wright-Phillips, Aaron Long and Michael Amir Murillo to face Italian Serie A power Juventus FC at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium Wednesday.

MLS all-star coach Tata Martino selected Darwin Quintero and Adams to replace LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic and New York City FC forward David Villa, who is questionable for the game due to ongoing recovery from injury after missing the previous six matches.

The 19-year-old Adams has been successful on the field for club and country.

The Wappingers Falls, N.Y. native has 16 starts and 17 appearances with the Red Bulls, recording four assists in 1,428 minutes. Since January, Adams has started and appeared in four of the last five international friendly matches for the U.S. national team.

Juventus, the defending Serie A champions, is the most decorated club in Italy, winning more league and Coppa Italia titles than any other Italian side. Juve also reached the UEFA Champions League final in two of the past four years (2015, 2017). The team is managed by Massimiliano Allegri, who recently completed his fourth season with the club.
