No news on whether the Rochester Lancers will play indoor soccer this fall.

During his Saturday show, Kick This!, Lancers owner Soccer Sam Fantauzzo said that he hoped to have news Wednesday about the team playing this fall because he had “a very important meeting” Monday.

Fantauzzo subbed for regular host Bob Lonsberry on his show on WHAM (1180 AM) Wednesday.

During the final and fourth hour of the show, Fantauzzo did not go deeply into the subject.

“I personally will be involved in indoor soccer,” he said on the show. “I don’t know if it will be in Rochester.”

After the show, Fantauzzo would not comment on the meeting.

Under Fantauzzo’s stewardship, Lancers returned as an indoor soccer team in the Major Indoor Soccer League and then the Major Arena Soccer League from 2011-2015.

He has been trying to find the proper venue in the city for the team, whether it was the downtown Blue Cross Arena, The Dome in suburban Henrietta or the ice hockey rink at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
