HARRISON, N.J. — If you wonder how they keep the Red Bull Arena pitch in such great shape, here’s one good reason why.
The RBA field crew irrigates the field, even at night.
Now, the above picture certainly looks like an alien device has landed on the Red Bulls’ field, but it is used when it is necessary to make certain the grass is watered when needed.
After a late night covering a match earlier this season, FrontRowSoccer.com editor Michael Lewis noticed this unusual and eerie site when he was leaving the stadium and took a picture.
The Red Bulls host the New England Revolution at RBA Saturday at 7 p.m.
