HARRISON, N.J. – Red Bull II returns to MSU Soccer Park for the last of three consecutive matches at Montclair State University, hosting Bethlehem Steel FC Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN+).
NYRB II (7-5-7, 28 points) defeated the Richmond Kickers, 5-1, Friday in a United Soccer League game that featured a hat-trick from midfielder Jared Stroud. It also had forward Brian White recording a goal, assist and save after replacing goalkeeper Evan Louro, who was reded card in the 77th minute. White is the only player in the USL modern era to record such a stat line as a field player.
Friday’s win extended NYRB II’s undefeated streak to three games and marked the fourth game in which NYRB II scored five goals or more this season.
Bethlehem Steel FC (6-7-6, 24) visit MSU Soccer Park carrying a three-game winless streak, most recently playing to a 1-1 draw with North Carolina FC. The Steel, sitting 11th in the Eastern Conference Standings, has a 2-6-1 road record.
NYRB II has faced Bethlehem twice this season, both on the road at Goodman Stadium. Their first encounter ended in a 3-0 defeat, while the second match was a 2-2 draw.
Following the match, NYRB II head to Cincinnati for a contest with first-place FC Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium Saturday at 7 p.m. ET (ESPN+).
